Job opportunities
Who are we looking for?
All kinds of people find that a job helping our residents to get the most out of life is rewarding and satisfying - students, mums returning to work after a break, people of all ages who have spare time on their hands. Your work experience or educational qualifications aren't as important as the personal qualities we are looking for:
- Able to communicate effectively, particularly with older people.
- Patient, with a good sense of humour.
- A good team player, able to work under pressure.
- Able to demonstrate a positive understanding of the needs and rights of older people.
Above all, we are looking for people who can share our passion. People who can help us create the environment and deliver the personal care that will allow our residents to get the most out of life. For those who share these aspirations, the rewards more than compensate for the hard work.
Within each home, the home manager is responsible for the two key aspects of the service we provide:
Team members - care services
Lead carers - you will be responsible for the delivery of care to residents and play a key role in the development of their individual care plans. You will also help to ensure a consistent quality of service by supervising and developing the activities of care assistants working alongside you.
Care assistants - you will be responsible for the personal delivery of care to residents according to their individual care plans. You will also help to ensure that the plan is maintained and developed in a way that is right for their individual needs.
For all care services team members we will provide full training to NVQ 2 level.
Team members - hotel services
Cooks/catering assistants - you will be responsible for the preparation and serving of food that meets our residents' requirements and is to the highest standards..
Kitchen domestics/house domestics - you will help maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and housekeeping within the home.
If you think you can help others to get the most out of life, we would love to hear from you!
Whether you are looking for a long term career or a flexible, part-time position, we have a range of opportunities for you. We'll also do our very best to ensure that the hours you work fit in with your lifestyle.
Because care never stops, we are also keen to talk with you if weekend and night time working is something you prefer. If you would like to tell us about the team position you are interested in and when you are available to work, please write to the home manager, the address is on the Contact Details page accessed from the menu to the left.
