Heart of England Housing Group Ltd. is responsible for ensuring that each member organisation is properly governed in respect of business and employment law in addition to the regulatory code operated by the Housing Corporation.

The company's key responsibilities in this respect are:

• Establishing and maintaining an appropriate Group structure and ensuring that the composition and activities of each Board of Management within the Group is governed through effective and robust Standing Orders.
• Establishing and overseeing a framework of delegation and systems of control to properly assess risk and manage the Group's operations.
• Defining and monitoring the compliance of Group companies with the Group's objectives.
• Approving an annual Financial Plan and Budget that keeps the Group and each part of it on a sound financial basis and in compliance with loan covenants.
