Heart of England Housing Group and Orbit Group

The Heart of England Housing Group and the Orbit Group have, over recent months, been exploring the benefits – for tenants, residents, future customers and staff – of joining forces to create a new organisation.

These benefits are at the centre of a proposal, approved by the Boards of each Group, to form a, partnership, which is designed to significantly strengthen all aspects of the two Groups’ combined operations.

Our website has been audited by the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) and granted the 'See it Right' Accessible Website Initiative award. We are the first Registered Social Landlord group in the UK to achieve this.

January 2005- Positive About Disabled People

We aim to be a good employer of disabled people. Our recruitment and employment policies have been reviewed by Jobcentre Plus (part of the Department for Work and Pensions) and we are now an accredited user of the disability symbol.

January 2004 - we are 'iN business for neighbourhoods'
